Thank you for getting to know me through my website :)
This will be my fifth year teaching at Chowchilla high school. I am so excited to continue to watch our Ag department grow this year. I grew up in Caruthers, CA where I graduated from Caruthers high school. I was very involved in my school participating in softball, basketball, public speaking competitions, drama, FFA, ASB, and the community service outreach club. I was dedicated to the FFA being heavily involved in my chapter, section, and region. I competed in creed, BIG, parliamentary procedure, agronomy, extemporaneous, beef cattle SAE, sheep production SAE, poultry production SAE, and a sheep breeding SAE. After high school I attended UC Davis working at the sheep unit, after a year there I returned closer to home and graduated from Fresno State. While at state I worked at Marthedale Farms and the Fresno State sheep unit. I recently got married on August 10. My husband is an animal science professor at Fresno State, so naturally in our spare time we enjoy spending time at home with our livestock and dogs. My first year of teaching was completed at Riverdale high school. I taught veterinary science, animal science, introduction to agriculture, exploratory Ag science, and Ag biology. I was the FFA advisor, swine advisor, sheep advisor, and beef advisor. I coached job interview, impromptu, parli-pro, agronomy, and vet science. I then continued my career teaching at Laton high school. I taught Ag earth science, Ag biology, and Ag chemistry. I was the FFA advisor and sheep advisor. I coached creed, prepared public speaking, job interview, parli-pro, and BIG. |
